Types of Braces

We offer a variety of braces treatments that cater to our patients’ unique needs and goals. We understand that each person has a different orthodontic goal with a different oral condition. To accommodate our patients’ various lifestyles, we provide an option of clear ceramic braces, traditional metal braces, and clear Invisalign aligners.

Traditional Metal Braces

For patients who have mild to severely crooked teeth, spacing between the teeth, or a poor bite, traditional metal braces provide an excellent treatment option. Appliances (such as rubber bands, expanders, the Herbst appliance, or Forsus™ springs) are used in accordance with braces to offer the most effective treatment plan in the most efficient amount of time. Dr. Cardall uses low-profile braces that are more comfortable for patients than other braces on the market. They are also “high control” braces that allow Dr. Cardall to adjust the final teeth positions very precisely and accurately.

Clear Ceramic Braces

For patients who require braces but want to avoid the appearance of braces, clear ceramic braces are a nearly-invisible treatment option. We use the Inspire ICE® ceramic braces, due to their crystal clear appearance that blends in with the color of the teeth. These brackets don’t stain or cause discoloration, and they maintain their radiant, translucent appearance throughout treatment.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners

For patients who prefer a clear, removable orthodontic treatment, we offer Invisalign® clear aligners. These aligners are made of a BPA-free, flexible, smooth plastic that can be removed to eat, drink, brush and floss. Invisalign® is an effective braces treatment for those who prefer a comfortable, transparent treatment, free of brackets and wires.
